Shalva Canine Centre has been established to help dogs with nutritional, training and behaviour problems. Shalva is a Hebrew word meaning calm, peace, harmony and relaxation. My name is Nicole N S Mackie. I am from New Zealand, currently living in the United Kingdom - an ex-breeder, show exhibitor and handler of Labrador retrievers and Siberian huskies, with a love for all breeds, animals and humans. I am an animal therapist specialising in small animal nutrition, dog behaviour, communication and psychology. I have experience in veterinary nursing with qualifications in animal science, canine behaviour, canine psychology, dog training instruction, Nutritional advisor of veterinary nutrtion and a graduate of the International Dog Behaviour and Training School in the UK, a full member of the Pet Dog Trainers of Europe (PDTE), a trustee of the Midland Labrador Trust in New Zealand, a Homeobotanical therapist (herbal remedies) and a qualified Bowen Technique (soft tissue bodywork) practitioner. I work on a one-to-one basis and lead practical skills-for-life walks for dogs with social problems towards humans and other dogs. I also help puppies and adult dogs develop correct socialization skills. |
